Visual floor plan: 33 occupied positions (33 pallets total) out of 33 maximum floor slots
In standard 13.6m European trailers (internal width 2.48m), Euro Pallets (120x80cm) are turned sideways in rows of 3 (3 × 0.8m = 2.40m), allowing exactly 33 pallets on the floor (11 rows × 3 = 33). Standard Pallets (120x100cm) fit 2 across lengthwise or widthwise, resulting in 26 pallets.

Frequently Asked Questions: Pallet Loading
How many Euro Pallets fit in a standard European 13.6m semi-trailer?
A standard 13.6m European trailer (Curtainsider / Mega / Box) holds exactly 33 Euro Pallets (1,200 mm × 800 mm) on the floor. This is achieved by loading two pallets lengthwise (1.2m) across the trailer width (2.48m), creating 16 rows of 2 plus one pallet loaded widthwise at the nose or tail (16 × 2 + 1 = 33).
What is a Loading Meter (LDM) and how is it calculated?
One Loading Meter (LDM) represents one linear meter of cargo space across the full internal width of a truck (2.40m–2.48m). For Euro pallets (1.2m × 0.8m), 1 Euro pallet occupies 0.40 LDM (Length 1.2m × Width 0.8m / Trailer Width 2.4m = 0.40 LDM). Standard pallets (1.2m × 1.0m) occupy 0.50 LDM.
What is the difference between single-tier and double-stacked loading?
Single-tier loading places pallets strictly on the trailer floor. Double-stacking stacks a second pallet on top of the bottom unit, doubling capacity (up to 66 Euro pallets in a 3.00m Mega Trailer). Double-stacking requires stackable cargo, sturdy packaging, and total pallet height under 145 cm.
